We see children in the context of their family.

CFG believes staff, residents and families must work as partners in treatment. Engagement, cultivation and maintenance of youths’ connections to family and natural supports are continuously promoted through regular family contact, treatment planning, family therapy and family time together. Weekly family therapy sessions are held to facilitate reunification and to improve the dynamics of family relationships – with therapists working flexible and extended schedules to accommodate family needs. Family therapy sessions may be held in the home, as well as at the program. In addition to weekly contact with the child’s therapist, parents participate in monthly treatment team meetings and are invited to many of the program’s recreational activities, social events and holiday celebrations. Families also have easy access to the program Psychiatrist and APN during the day and evening to discuss medications, side effects and other concerns as a result of our flexible scheduling.
